VFX Chair Perry Harovas' horror short The Drifter gets picked up by the Sacramento Horror Film Festival
Congratulations to Perry Harovas, Flashpoint's VFX & Animation Chair, on his film The Drifter getting into yet another film festival! Harovas produced the film, along with the director, Garo Setian, an editor at Lionsgate Films in Los Angeles.
The Drifter is a 13 minute suspense/horror film, shot on 16mm and finished on Softimage|DS. Harovas created visual effects to give some footage they shot in 1991 the appearance that it happens at the same time (within the same shot) as footage shot a few years ago.

Plot Outline: In the Fall of 1988, on the back roads of New Bedford Massachusetts, a serial killer encounters a young woman with car trouble. Haunted by his murderous past, he tries to keep himself from killing again. But some urges are hard to resist.
The Drifter is to be screened at the Sacramento Horror Film Fest October 19th-21st.
