MIKE SALVATORI - halo 3 composer
We are so excited to welcome Mike Salvatori, Halo 3 composer, as the speaker for our February 2008 Flashpoint Industry Workshop!
Mike Salvatori has written and produced music for many different TV, radio and film projects over the last 25 years. Since 1997, he has created music and sound design for a variety of different video games, including Riven: The Sequel To Myst for Cyan (sound design only), Myth: The Fallen Lords, Myth 2: Soulblighter, and Oni for Bungie, and Septerracore for Valkyrie Studios. More recently, he has written music for Halo and Halo 2 for Bungie, and Stubbs The Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse for Wideload Games. These games have won numerous awards, including the Rolling Stone Magazine Best Soundtrack of 2002 for Halo, while Halo 2 has sold more soundtracks than any other game. Mike recently finished composing music for Halo 3 for Bungie, and is currently writing music for a new game called Hail to the Chimp for Wideload Games, to be released in early 2008. Mike is married, has 4 daughters, and lives in the Chicago area.
