Ron Brinkmann Added to Flashpoint Advisory Board
A respected supervisor in the Visual Effects world, Mr. Brinkmann has worked on films such as Die Hard with a Vengeance, James and the Giant Peach and Contact. He was nominated for a British Academy Award for his work on Speed and most recently he worked on the animated feature film Valiant. At Apple Computer, in their Professional Applications division, Ron was the product designer of the visual effects software Shake. The author of The Art and Science of Digital Compositing, a standard reference book in the film visual effects world, Mr. Brinkmann has lectured on the topics of visual effects and digital filmmaking in Europe, China, Australia, Japan and India. Ron is a graduate of the University of Illinois department of Computer Science/Engineering. Flashpoint is thrilled to welcome Ron to the team.
