Flashpoint, the Academy of Media Arts & Sciences is Chicago’s newest college for students interested in the digital media arts industry who want to quickly get into the working world with top-notch skills in these exploding fields. Flashpoint offers programs in the following disciplines:
- Visual Effects and Animation
- Game Development
- Film
- Recording Arts
- Broadcast Media
Flashpoint’s faculty members are industry professionals who have years of experience and continue to be active in their fields . Flashpoint’s state-of-the-art downtown campus features cutting-edge equipment along with a nearby sound stage where Flashpoint students work together to create school-wide films and games. Our two-year, direct-to-industry program and 40 hour class week are designed to prepare our strudents for full-time jobs on graduation. Flashpoint’s curriculum consists of both classroom instruction and hands-on training in the digital media arts. Students are prepared on a fast track; utilize the latest technology; and are far ahead of the curve when they're done in half the time of a traditional 4-year education.
