Born and raised on the South East Side of Chicago, Roberto Navia has had a passion for movies ever since he can remember. His passion stems from simply exposing himself to as many different movies as he can; “While movies are a form of entertainment, they are also a form of education”; is a personal motto that he lives by. His interest in movies came in the form of wanting to learn about the visual and special effects aspect in film. While it still is an interest for him, writing and directing has taken over as the primary directive. Robertoʼs work is truly a reflection of himself, he draws inspiration from everything around him; music, life, friends, family, and his neighborhood. He immerses himself in all projects great and small to achieve a quality product that everyone can enjoy. Aside from film, Roberto has a strong interest in comic books, graphic novels, and old 90ʼs cartoons. His goals are to adapt popular graphic novels that he is fond of into screenplays for either television, internet, or feature films and direct said projects as well as original work he has written.
