BIOGRAPHY
Stuntman/Stunt Coordinator/Director
Carl Paoli was born and raised in Chicago. He started his film career as a still photographer. At the same time (at the age of 19), he began pursuing a career as a stuntman on the feature film Ferris Buellers Day Off.
He began to do P.A. work in the 90s on the movie Home Alone and many more for 5 years. After a relentless pursuit, he finally started to work full time as a stuntman. He has doubled such actors as Richard Gere in Primal Fear, Rowan Atkins in Bean, Luke Perry in Normal Life, Keanu Reeves in Hardball and The Lake House, Jimmy Fallon in Taxi, Ryan Reynolds in Amityville Horror and Alisandro Nivola in Face Off where he proved him self as a big time stuntman performing the dramatic high fall death sequence as Pollux Troy.
Next he doubled Mathew Brodrick as Inspector Gadget and Alisandro Nivola again in Jurassic Park 3 where among many stunts he flew paragliders. Carl also flew jetpacks in Steven Spielberg’s Minority Report when he fought head to head with Tom Cruise in an 80-foot ariel battle and chase sequence.
Last year Carl played one of the joker clowns in The Dark Knight sliding from building to building (on a line 280 feet above the street) to a roof top where he proceeded to rob Gothem City Bank. Later on in the same scene he stunt doubled the late Heath Ledger as the Joker escaping the Bank by driving a School bus threw the bank wall, down a flight of stairs and out into traffic in a clever escape.
