Miguel Kertsman

Composer, musician, producer, audio engineer and music technology consultant Miguel Kertsman has worked on numerous recordings, Grammy nominated and award-winning projects. He writes, produces, and engineers music for the symphonic stage, TV, film, the media, and records. Original works released internationally by Sony, RCA Victor, and Universal Edition; and collaborations on audio, music technology, academic development, and acoustics projects.
Jeff Kliment

Prior to joining Flashpoint Academy, Jeff Kliment was Academic Manager for the Department of Audio Arts and Acoustics at Columbia College Chicago. Mr. Kliment has contributed to a wide variety of projects including post-production for feature films as well as sound design, voice, and music production for television, radio, and interactive video games. He has also engineered dozens of albums for independent and major labels and mixed hundreds of live shows in venues across the country.

Rich Coons comes to Flashpoint with a diverse career background including experience in Architecture, Fine Art, Game Development and Higher Education. He has a wide range of knowledge from his many years in the Game Development industry, and he has a passion for sharing that knowledge with his students. His game credits include: Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, NBA Inside Drive, Hunter: The Reckoning and Duel Masters: Cobalt.
Brian Read

Brian K. Read received his B.A. in Broadcasting & Film from the University of Iowa, and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College, Chicago. His background combines over twenty years of teaching with an active freelance career, as a director and lighting cameraman. Most recently, he was Director Of Broadcast Operations for the University of California, Irvine.
Adrienne Lentz

Adrienne Lentz has worked as a reading specialist, since high school, as a tutor for students in New York City's inner-city schools. She has a bachelor's degree in English and History from the University of Vermont and a master's degree in Education from National-Louis, specializing in Reading and Written Communication for students in post secondary education. As a faculty member of Flashpoint Academy the focus of her work is on Writing Across the Curriculum and running the Writing Lab where students can receive help on their writing projects, learning strategies, time management, and organizational techniques.
Armando Ibanez

Armando P. Ibanez is a filmmaker, poet, and an award-winning writer. He has won numerous writing awards, including The American Film Institute's Colin Higgins Screenplay Production Award for the screenplay he wrote for his narrative thesis short, "A Moment of Silence." Armando, a graduate of AFI, is the founder and president of an independent film production company, Pluma Pictures, Inc., which is dedicated to producing films about heroes and heroines. He has also produced, written and directed a number of short documentaries and poetry videos, most of which have screened in national and international film festivals.
Killian Heilsberg-McElrath

Killian Heilsberg-McElrath has spent the last seven years teaching at Lincoln Memorial University, a tiny school in rural Tennessee, nestled in the Cumberland Gap. She mostly taught broadcasting but snuck in things like screenwriting, animation, interactive development, communication in persistent virtual environments and anything else that was bright and shiny. She has written and directed film, television, and stage productions, especially children's theatre and musicals. She loves writing and film in all their myriad forms and will explore anything she can get near.
Ella Delaney

Ella Delaney has worked as an information specialist in arts, legal, social justice, and publishing settings. Ella attained her MFA in San Francisco and, while exhibiting, curating, and writing about contemporary art, became passionate about emerging issues surrounding sampling, digital distribution, and copyright law. After stints in a diverse array of library and research positions, the art and science of information began exerting an ever greater pull and Ella is now completing coursework toward an MLIS at the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana.
