Flashpoint, The Academy of Media Arts and Sciences, is conveniently located at 28 North Clark in the heart of Chicago's Loop, footsteps to CTA and METRA trains from the North, South and West, and minutes from Interstates I-290, I-94 and I-55.

Flashpoint's Burnham campus includes 32,000 sq. ft. of digital production space. The space includes two sound stages, Panasonic High Definition cameras using tapeless solid state P2 storage, Apple Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer editing suites, multiple 2D/3D graphics compositing and game production workstations, 5.1 surround sound audio mixing utilizing Pro Tools HD systems with ICON control surfaces and all systems connected to a multi terabyte shared storage and content management environment. Flashpoint's extended campuses include over 50,000 sq. ft of sound stage and production space on the 19th and 20th floors of the Merchandise Mart and a 5000 sq. ft. ground level sound stage at the new CBS Broadcast Center at Washington and Dearborn.

The two-floor Mart sound stage is equipped with a broadcast lighting grid and set construction area, the space also includes large observation windows providing views of stage productions from the 20th floor. Flashpoint's Studio B at CBS is suitable for large scale, single or multiple camera productions. The space includes an audio control suite featuring a Calrec broadcast mixing console, street access for mobile production trucks and talent green rooms.

Through the use of these spaces and tools students are immediately exposed to a real-time professional working environment.
