What are Tribeca Flashpoint’s admission requirements?
Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy has a very personal admissions process. To be considered, students must have at minimum a high school diploma or its equivalent and must attend a campus tour. Students are selected for enrollment based on a personal interview with admissions staff and faculty. A portfolio displaying a student’s creative work is also encouraged, but is not required.
What does the admission team look for in an applicant?
When interviewing potential Tribeca Flashpoint students, our admissions team seeks the same qualities that employers look for in prospective hires: excellent oral and written communication skills, professionalism, flexibility, ability to problem solve, innovate, and collaborate.
What will my weekly time commitment be while I attend Tribeca Flashpoint?
Tribeca Flashpoint offers a two-year, 60 credit program. Students who treat their attendance like a real-world, full-time professional position are most likely to succeed in Tribeca Flashpoint’s intensive program.
Will I be required to complete general education coursework in addition to my discipline coursework?
Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy believes that its required general education, or Core Studies program, is an essential component in each student’s success. What separates Tribeca Flashpoint’s Core Studies courses from traditional university “Gen-Ed,” courses is that Core Studies assignments are specifically designed to build upon and complement work in each student’s discipline.
Does Tribeca Flashpoint offer any career services?
Yes. Tribeca Flashpoint has a Career Services Department that offers resume writing, professional practices, and interview skills training, and develops ongoing relationships between Tribeca Flashpoint, its students, and key industry players.
Is it possible to complete a double major at Tribeca Flashpoint?
Because Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy offers a fast-paced, intensive and immersive program, a dual major is not possible.
Does Tribeca Flashpoint offer campus housing?
Tribeca Flashpoint has developed relationships with several shared dorms in downtown Chicago that provide housing for students. Read more about student housing options here.

Does Tribeca Flashpoint offer programs for high school students?
Yes! Tribeca Flashpoint's Digital Bootcamp is an abbreviated program for high school students grades ten through twelve. Students who attend will experience a taste of Tribeca Flashpoint’s program and complete one portfolio piece. How will I choose my class schedule?
Tribeca Flashpoint’s coursework is automatically arranged to walk each student from their first year developing their creative process and gaining essential hard and soft skills, through the second year developing each student’s individual portfolio of work in their focused study track. Tell us what your passion is- we’ll do the rest.
Will I be working on real-world, professional projects at Tribeca Flashpoint?
Tribeca Flashpoint students often work with experienced industry professionals on real world projects with industry partners. In the past, Tribeca Flashpoint students have worked on many large scale projects for internationally recognized companies and brands.
When is the next application deadline for Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy?

Can I use my G.I. Bill benefits to attend Tribeca Flashpoint?

What is Tribeca Flashpoint’s tuition, and is financial aid available?
Tribeca Flashpoint prides itself on offering competitive tuition and financial aid.
While total tuition for other media and arts institutions can exceed $85,000 over the course of their respective programs, tuition for Tribeca Flashpoint’s accelerated two year program is $50,000 total (or $25,000 per year). Additional fees include annual student fees ($250) and a one-time application fee ($150).
To further curb the cost of education, Tribeca Flashpoint provides scholarships and various financial aid opportunities. Over 75% of our students have received some form of financial aid, including: (i) merit based scholarships (ii) loans for qualified students and (iii) GI benefits for qualified veterans.
